*The Specifics
This warm family is seeking a patient, safety-focused, and nurturing nanny to care for their two young children, including a curious and sweet 3-year-old and an easygoing 6-month-old baby. The family values reliability, calm energy, and open communication, and they are looking for a nanny who genuinely enjoys spending time with children and creating a positive, engaging environment for them to grow and thrive.
While the nanny may occasionally care for both children at the same time, the role will often focus on one child individually depending on preschool schedules and the family’s needs.
Safety is the family’s number one priority, so they are looking for a nanny who is attentive, and highly dependable. Patience is another essential quality, especially with their thoughtful and sensitive 3-year-old son who thrives with calm, gentle personalities. He currently attends preschool in the mornings and is also working through potty training. The family has had wonderful experiences with patient caregivers in the past and hopes to find someone who can continue offering that same calm, supportive approach.
The ideal nanny will be warm, engaging, and able to follow the child’s lead while still maintaining appropriate boundaries in a calm and respectful way. Their son tends to connect best with quieter, easygoing personalities rather than overly loud or overly directive caregiving styles. The family themselves are naturally more reserved and relaxed, and they value caregivers who can blend naturally into that environment while still taking initiative when needed.
The role will primarily focus on childcare, including planning engaging activities such as crafts, outdoor play, sensory activities, reading, and age-appropriate learning opportunities. The family would love someone who enjoys being interactive and creative with children while helping foster curiosity and development. Their baby is very social and adaptable, while their older child enjoys connection through play, calm interaction, and having some sense of independence within reasonable boundaries.
Additional responsibilities may include light childcare-related household tasks such as washing bottles, light dishes, and helping encourage the children to clean up their toys and spaces.
The family describes themselves as reasonable, flexible, and easygoing. While they appreciate routines and consistency, they also understand that life with young children can be unpredictable and they value a nanny who can adapt with patience and positivity. They also have a very elderly miniature dachshund who mostly sleeps throughout the day, so comfort around dogs is important, though pet responsibilities will be minimal.
A nanny who prioritizes safety, values connection, and enjoys creating fun and meaningful experiences for little ones will be a wonderful fit for this thoughtful and welcoming family.
