*The Specifics
Looking for a family who truly values professional childcare and wants their nanny to become an important part of their children’s lives?
This warm, active, and welcoming family in Granville is searching for a long-term nanny who will grow alongside their two little ones and become a trusted extension of their family.
Their days are filled with laughter, outdoor adventures, travel, and quality time together. They enjoy staying active whenever possible and are looking for a nanny who shares that enthusiasm for creating fun, engaging, and meaningful childhood experiences. Mom works from home in a separate office, while Dad works just a few minutes away, allowing everyone to stay connected while still giving the nanny the independence to lead the day.
The family has two children: G (8 months) and B (3 years). B (3 years) will attend preschool beginning in August on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., creating wonderful opportunities for one-on-one time with G (8months) while also planning engaging activities for both children throughout the week.
They are looking for a nanny who brings intention to each day by planning creative, educational activities that encourage learning through play. Whether it’s practicing colors, tracing letters and numbers, reading books, sensory play, crafts, music, or outdoor adventures, they would love someone who enjoys helping young children reach developmental milestones in fun and engaging ways. The family is more than happy to provide activity supplies and encourages creativity and new ideas.
Providing a safe, loving, and structured environment is their highest priority. They appreciate a nanny who is attentive, reliable, punctual, and proactive, while also creating predictable routines that help the children thrive. As they begin sleep training G (8months), they are looking for someone who is comfortable following a consistent nap routine and working collaboratively with the parents.
The family practices a Love and Logic parenting approach centered around respect, consistency, and teaching through guidance. They would love a nanny who communicates openly, is confident yet kind, and genuinely enjoys building strong relationships with children.
Daily responsibilities will primarily focus on childcare, along with light child-related household tasks such as children’s dishes, unloading the dishwasher, children’s laundry, tidying toys and play spaces, and occasional errands when needed. They also have a friendly dog and cat, so being comfortable around pets is important.
The ideal nanny is energetic, nurturing, organized, and enjoys staying busy. They are looking for a true childcare professional who takes initiative, communicates well, has a clean driving record, and is comfortable taking the children on outings while keeping the parents informed of daily plans.
Most of all, they hope to find someone who feels like part of the family—someone who is excited to make each day fun, educational, and full of meaningful moments.
