This warm, welcoming family is searching for a dependable, proactive professional to fill a unique hybrid role that combines nannying with executive assistant responsibilities. Approximately half of the position will be spent caring for the family’s children, while the other half will be dedicated to supporting Dad’s business from his office. The schedule is typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, but flexibility is built into the role. On days when the baby has doctor’s appointments or Mom could use additional support at home, the position will naturally shift to a full day focused on childcare and assisting the family.
The family recently welcomed their fourth child, who arrived six weeks early and has Down syndrome. During this season, they are looking for someone who can confidently step in wherever they are needed most. Mom is home much of the time, making this a collaborative role where teamwork, communication, and flexibility are essential. Dad owns his own business and is highly involved with the family, though his work keeps him busy throughout the day.
The three older children are 6, 4, and 2 years old. They are imaginative, active, and wonderfully independent. The family follows a screen-free lifestyle and loves spending time outdoors exploring their 12-acre property, creating crafts, reading books, playing games, making music, and encouraging creativity. They would love to find someone who enjoys joining in on the fun and perhaps even sharing their own hobbies or talents with the children.
Childcare responsibilities include planning engaging activities, transporting children to school or activities when needed, helping with children’s laundry, meal preparation, tidying toys and common areas, and simply being another caring adult who helps the household run smoothly. They value someone who is naturally proactive and enjoys jumping in wherever support is needed.
The executive assistant portion of the role will primarily support Dad’s growing business. Previous executive assistant experience is not required—the family is happy to fully train the right candidate on all systems and processes. Responsibilities include processing invoices and bills, entering transactions into accounting software, organizing digital files, maintaining project documentation, following up with vendors and subcontractors, creating and formatting documents, updating the company website, and assisting with general administrative projects. They are looking for someone who enjoys organization, pays close attention to detail, and is eager to learn new skills.
The ideal candidate is dependable, positive, adaptable, and enjoys wearing multiple hats throughout the day. Someone who takes initiative, communicates well, and notices what needs to be done before being asked will thrive in this position. They are looking for a true teammate—someone who wants to support both the family and the business while becoming a trusted, long-term part of their lives.
The family also has two friendly Mini Goldendoodles who love being around people. There are no pet care responsibilities, but an occasional game of fetch while the children are outside would certainly make the dogs happy.
