*The Specifics
This warm and welcoming family is looking for a dedicated and flexible nanny to join their family. They describe themselves as diverse, friendly, and social, with a strong emphasis on family and education. With demanding careers in the healthcare industry, they need a reliable and proactive caregiver who can provide a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for their child. The ideal candidate will be organized, communicative, and passionate about early childhood development, ensuring their little one is well cared for, stimulated, and growing through interactive play and learning experiences.
The family values integrity above all else. They are looking for someone who is honest, responsible, and genuinely invested in their child's well-being—someone who will engage in meaningful activities like reading, playing, and providing attentive care rather than relying on screens for entertainment. Newborn experience is a must, and an interest in education and outings is highly desirable. While not required, the ability to speak a second language, particularly Korean or Spanish, would be a great bonus.
Flexibility is key in this role. While start times will generally remain consistent, end times may vary based on Mom’s changing schedule, which is provided two weeks in advance. The nanny can expect to work an average of 40 hours per week, with some weeks reaching up to 50 hours and others closer to 30. Mom typically has one day off per week, and the nanny will also have that day off. Occasional weekend help would be appreciated but is not mandatory.
In addition to childcare, the nanny will assist with light household duties, including laundry, dishes, and keeping the home tidy. The family has a small dog, Walter, who may need to be let outside occasionally. While a dog walker handles his daily walks, the nanny should be comfortable around pets and willing to help with minor tasks like carrying him up or down a few steps if needed.
Both parents have high-demand jobs that do not allow for last-minute schedule changes, so reliability and punctuality are essential. After long workdays, they enjoy unwinding at home, going for walks, working out, or watching TV. They love dining out and attending every Columbus Crew home game during the MLS season. On weekends, they focus on catching up with household tasks and personal projects.
The ideal nanny will be someone who seamlessly integrates into their household, providing both structure and warmth. They are looking for a long-term partnership with someone who genuinely cares about their child’s growth and development. If you are an experienced, dependable, and loving nanny who takes initiative and enjoys working with a dynamic and social family, this could be a perfect fit!
