*The Specifics

This busy, active, and down-to-earth family is seeking a proactive, engaging, and structured nanny to support their three young children—a 4-year-old daughter, a 2-year-old daughter, and a 1-year-old son. Both parents are self-employed with ever-changing schedules, so flexibility and adaptability are key in this role. Their oldest attends preschool two days per week, and while the parents typically handle drop-offs, the nanny may occasionally assist with pick-up. The family is especially hoping to find someone who can bring a strong educational and developmental focus into the home, fostering learning through play, creativity, and intentional engagement.

The ideal nanny will be confident, energetic, and capable of guiding a spirited 4-year-old who thrives with structure, encouragement, and clear boundaries. She loves crafts, imaginative play, Barbies, cooking, and baking, and would benefit from a nanny who can support her personality while helping her navigate big emotions. The 2-year-old is beginning to explore similar interests, including ballet and gymnastics, and enjoys interactive, hands-on play. The youngest, a 1-year-old boy, is very affectionate and loves to be cuddled, engaged with, and included in daily activities. All three children participate in swim lessons, and the oldest is also involved in ballet and tennis, so a nanny who enjoys supporting an active lifestyle is important.

Daily responsibilities include preparing meals and snacks, helping the children get dressed, tidying their rooms and play areas, unloading the dishwasher, and maintaining general organization in the home. The nanny will also take the lead on planning activities, outings, and playdates, ensuring the children are engaged, socialized, and stimulated throughout the day. During nap times or downtime, responsibilities may include children’s laundry, organizing the playroom, rotating seasonal clothing, and maintaining an orderly environment. The family values teaching their children responsibility, so they appreciate a nanny who encourages the kids to help clean up and take ownership of their spaces.

The household is described as “structured mayhem”—a fun, lively environment where creativity and exploration are encouraged. The parents are warm, social, and easygoing, and they are looking for someone who can match their energy while also bringing structure and initiative. A nanny who is firm yet kind, able to redirect behavior and set boundaries with confidence, will thrive in this role.

The family travels frequently and would love a nanny who is open to occasionally joining them on trips. When the family is away, the nanny will assist with household organization projects such as going through closets, rotating clothing sizes, shopping for children’s items, and grocery shopping to prepare for their return. They also have two older, friendly dogs, so comfort with pets is important.

Ultimately, they are seeking a long-term nanny who views this as a career and truly becomes part of the family. They are excited to welcome someone who is proactive, nurturing, organized, and fun—someone who will grow with their children and be a meaningful, lasting presence in their lives.
