*The Specifics

This busy and warm family is seeking a reliable, organized, and engaging nanny/family assistant to support their household beginning in May, with the option to start earlier to assist with their upcoming move in mid-April. Both parents have demanding careers—one as a physician and the other as a chemist—so they are looking for someone who can step in as a steady, proactive presence to help keep their home and routines running smoothly. The family has two young children, a 4-year-old and an 8-month-old, both of whom attend daycare, and the primary need is a combination of childcare support and household assistance.

A typical schedule will be around 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm during the week, with occasional morning coverage starting at 7:30 am for daycare drop-offs when the father is traveling for work, which occurs about once every two months and is scheduled in advance. Responsibilities include daycare pick-ups, caring for the children in the evenings, preparing simple and healthy meals, and helping maintain an organized home. The nanny will also assist with children’s laundry, tidying toys and common areas, preparing daycare bags, and supporting light meal planning—such as ensuring groceries and ingredients are stocked and ready for the week.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and able to take initiative without needing constant direction. A detail-oriented, “Type A” personality would thrive in this role, especially someone who enjoys helping ease the mental load for busy parents. The family would love someone who values health and wellness, supports active lifestyles, and can serve as a positive role model for their children. Their 4-year-old is energetic and enjoys activities like gymnastics and sports, so a nanny who is excited to engage her in active play and support her development would be a great fit. Their infant son requires attentive, loving care and age-appropriate developmental engagement.

Safety is a top priority, so a strong driver and someone attentive to detail is essential. The family also has a cat, so comfort with pets is appreciated. Personality fit is very important—they are a fun, lighthearted, and bubbly household who values humor, warmth, and authenticity. They are looking for someone who is personable, a bit silly, and not overly rigid, while still being dependable and responsible.

They hope to find a long-term nanny who will grow with their family and become a trusted and valued part of their lives. Occasional date night or weekend support would be appreciated but is not required. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing childcare with household support and thrives in a busy, positive, and engaging environment.
